It is the energy of the myth and the elegance of the garden that inspire a refined and vigorous essence. Bergamot and juniper berries become full-bodied on a carpet of incense, fading into the persistent charm of oriental wood. The presence of a marble Hercules in the garden of the perfumer's house, a triumph of courage and immortality, elevates Agathon's creations to myth and the "Giardinodiercole" becomes a perfume. The Garden of Hercules is a legendary place in Greek mythology. It had been given by Gea to Zeus who in turn had given it to Hera as a wedding present and in it grew an apple tree with golden fruits which was guarded by the dragon Ladon and the three Hesperides. As an eleventh effort, Hercules had been ordered to pick three golden apples from the tree, guarded by three nymphs, the Hesperides, daughters of the night, with their sweet song who guarded the golden apples.
